Sometimes to get the most innovative cookware, you have to go into the past. This handmade, clay pottery is made from black micacious clay found only in central Colombia, an area archaeologists believe to be home to the oldest pottery in the Americas. It is functional for cooking on the stove or oven and beautiful for serving at the table. There are no toxins in the La Chamba because no glazes are used- the smooth surface is a natural result of the hand-burnishing.
